Full Member Responsibilities
- Chair or co-Chair at least one standing committee of TCISS
- Assist in the review of papers submitted to IEEE INERTIAL
- Participate in two annual face-to-face meetings at SENSORS and INERTIAL, if feasible.
Alternatively, participate virtually. (this is necessary for quorum and voting on important
decisions, like election) - Participate in on-line meetings, typically every 2 or 3 months
- Participate in various nomination and voting processes (TC membership elections, Vice-
Chair Election, changes to bylaws). - TC members are encouraged to organize summer schools, workshops, edit special
issues of IEEE Sensors Journal and IEEE Sensors Letters, and organize special sessions at
IEEE SENSORS conferences on INERTIAL related topics. - Standard membership term: 3 years. Renewable for a second term, provided that the TC
member has fulfilled the above responsibilities during the first term.
Associate Member Responsibilities
- Substantially participate in committees and sub-committees of TCISS and initiatives
- Assist in the review of papers submitted to IEEE INERTIAL (10-20 papers per year)
- Publish and/or co-author patents on the topic relevant to TCISS
- Participate in face-to-face meetings at SENSORS and INERTIAL, if feasible. Alternatively,
participate virtually. - Regularly participate in on-line TCISS meetings, typically every 2 or 3 months
Affiliate Member Responsibilities
- Participate and contribute to activities of TCISS
- Space allowed, participate in the semi-annual all-hands TCISS meetings (usually aligned
with IEEE SENSORS and IEEE INERTIAL) - Perform reviews each year (20-30 papers submitted to INERTIAL and special issues)
